After 1932, the Law of Negligence (Torts) has been developed by the United Kingdom Common Law courts and widely exercised in many parts of the world. Many countries have recognized the importance of this concept and have passed new legislations. Companies are spending huge amounts for claims on negligence every year. Certain laws have already been passed by the Sri Lankan Parliament and pending new laws which recognize the importance in this area. This programme intends to discuss and analyze the importance of this concept and to prevent unnecessary spending on negligence claims.
